Sigma Oil Seeds began as a heartfelt legacy, passed down from father to son and eventually shared with close friends, introducing a new generation of oil producers. Our dedicated team focuses on sourcing plant-based, natural, vegetable products from diverse corners of the globe.
Timo, Stefan, and Pim infuse their work ethic and passion into every drop of oil Sigma produces, ensuring unparalleled quality for their customers. Our state-of-the-art production facility operates at full capacity, solidifying our reputation as a trusted partner committed to excellence.

2017
Sigma Oil Seeds was founded by Timo van Dorland.
2018
Obtaining organic certificate (NL-BIO-01).
2019
First import and production of Moringa and Baobab from Africa.
2021
Pim and Stefan are joining the team.
2021
Opening production plant in Zaandam for specialty oils.
2022
Achievement of food certificate ISO22000 as well as ISO9001 and GMP+.
Aug 2023
Visitation of our suppliers in Egypt for Sesame and Black Cumin.
Oct 2023
Pim and Stefan entered as shareholders in Sigma.
Feb 2024
Green Boy Group joined as a minority shareholder.
April 2024
Moving back towards Rotterdam with our office.
May 2024
Visitation of Avocado oil and Moringa oil supplier in Kenya.

Launched our new logo and website.

Visiting Burkina Faso to meet our partner Burkinature, the people behind our organic sesame.
