The avocado tree is native to the Americas and Africa. Even in ancient times, people valued it for its large, unusually oily fruits. A mature tree can produce 3,000 to 5,000 kilograms of fruit annually! Our avocado sourcing takes place in Africa, where the trees belong to local families. Since the avocado tree naturally thrives in these regions, it requires little maintenance. This makes avocado farming a valuable source of income for local communities. Additionally, the thick peel of the avocado protects the fruit, making it less attractive to animals.

Once harvested, the avocados are cleaned and peeled for virgin oil production. For crude avocado oil, the entire fruit is used. This material is usually refined before consumption. The oil yield is around 10%.
Avocado oil serves many purposes. Virgin avocado oil is a great alternative to olive oil, making it a fantastic choice for culinary applications. The refined version is widely used as a cooking and frying oil. In cosmetics, avocado oil is highly valued for massages and skincare formulations.
